So here's some work in progress I wanted to post on the blog. One is of a 1 page World of Warcraft comic I'm making. It's good practice for coloring, but I need to work on the lighting a bit I think. The other piece is just something for fun, a cartoon hand. I want to remove some of the spots on the hand and also fix the wrinkles on the thumb. The thumb was going to be my CGsociety 'Strange Behavior' contest entry but I recently decided to do something else. I'll post the sketch of that soon! Thanks.

Alright seriously, sorry about the delete posts...apparently my grammar and spelling is that of a 6 year olds....on to the message I wrote two posts ago.......
Hey Pal,
Sorry it took me this long to post.
I really like the one page comic. The pacing is great, and there's a nice change of composition from one panel to the next. I was thinking perhaps I could be a little more constructive with my thoughts with this one incase you wanting something, well....constructive. haha
These are merely ideas and if you disregard them then that is alright with me cause I wouldn't listen to a High School drop out who lives in a dumpster either.
Something that caught my attention (after too much analyzing) is the skull knockers on the first panel look very flat...perhaps that was what you were going for.
In regards to trouble lighting:
A few teachers I had often said the best way to start the lighting is to paint a light side and a dark side. Just think of where the light hits and where it doesn't. Paint where it hits lighter and where it doesn't (or where there is shadows) darker...this will look very blocky at first but it is often very helpful when first figuring out the light. So just think of the shot, where you think the light is coming from and then try to apply this technique. I'll try doing a simple blocking of starting to light to give you an example and I'll send it to you.
Anyway man, great work. I love to see you doing so much artwork. Hope you able to be writing too...I've started to realize writing is insanely time consuming.
The thumb drawing is awesome...and the spittle...priceless. Keep up the great work man.
Look forward to your next post.
John
